The result, a city of great diversity and contrast, with festivals held throughout the year, and plenty of pubs and clubs.  Pubs include Irish, English, Jazz and German.  The restaurants cater for everyone’s needs, whether it is just a plain old take away you desire, or a posh French dish, this city will have a restaurant to appeal to all.

During the day there are shops a plenty, and many town squares to visit.  There are parks and gardens, and Berlin is also home to the oldest zoo in Europe, where there is everything from monkeys to polar bears, and a fantastic aquarium.  Times and opening hours for the zoo can be found online.
