Hotels, accommodation and water beds

People all over the world are fascinated by luxury and richness, and the worldwide media often focus on rich people and grand buildings in reality TV shows and other programs. There are a number of grand hotels around the world that have received a lot of recent media attention, with some even claiming to have a six and seven star rating which has been unheard of until recent times. These grand and exclusive hotels go out of their way to indulge their guests, and provide a level of luxury that is out of this world. Exclusive hotels also feature a number of extra facilities and services for guests, including fine restaurants, fitness centres, and custom fitted water bed (Wasserbett) rooms.
There are literally tens of thousands of hotels all around the world where people can stay while on a holiday or a business trip. These hotels often differ from each other in a number of ways, with budget accommodation almost entirely unrelated from the more luxurious and exclusive establishments. While cost is often a good indicator of the range and types of services available at a hotel, many people have found it to be an inadequate measure of true quality. Because of this, there has been a few different classification systems developed that distinguish between hotels based on the level of services and overall feeling of quality, with the star system being the most well recognised. While 5 stars has traditionally been the apex of this classification system, a few modern hotels have claimed or been awarded 6 and 7 stars for their ability to provide a truly luxurious experience.
Some of the hotels that have been awarded a 6 star classification include the Crown Macau on Taipa Island, St. Regis Shanghai Hotel in China, The Oriental Bangkok in Thailand, Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi, The Al Husn Hotel in Oman, and The Palazzo Versace in Australia. There are also some other luxury 6 star hotels currently being developed in Buenos Aires and South Korea. 6 stars is not even the apex of exclusivity in the world of hotels however, with a few select 7 star establishments now also available for lucky guests. Exactly what it is that warrants a 6 or 7 star classification is not defined, however, if you want the luxury of a water bed or a gourmet food experience provided by a world class chef – you will surely not be disappointed.
There are only currently three hotels in the entire world that claim to hold a 7 star ranking, although this ranking can be a little controversial. The Burj Al Arab in Dubai, United Arab Emirates is recognised as being the first 7 star establishment and has received a lot of global media attention, although this classification is self imposed. The Grace International in Bangkok, Thailand is the second 7 star hotel, and The Town House Galleria in Milan, Italy is the third. The Town House Galleria claims to be the first hotel in the world to have received an official 7 star classification, after being ranked by the Societe Generale de Surveillance. There are also some other 7 star hotels currently under construction, including Laucala Island in Fiji, Morgan Plaza in China, The Flower of the East in Iran, and The Centaurus Complex in Pakistan.
Grand and exclusive hotels have a level of luxury and richness that is unmatched in other establishments, and this is why they can claim to have a higher rating of classification. If you are not one of the lucky few who can afford to indulge with a few nights at one of the world class hotels in Paris or New York, there are a few things you can do at home to recreate the experience. There are some great water bed offer (Wasserbett Angebot) vouchers at the moment, making it possible to get hold of a luxurious water bed for your own home, as this is one of the best ways to relax and indulge in pseudo 7 star luxury.
