Hotels and accommodation vary in nature, depending on the star of the hotel which you have booked. The star ratings are generally from one star to five stars, with five stars being at the very top end of the scale. A one star hotel would be simple, with nothing in the way of luxury, it would mainly comprise of basic accommodation, the staff would be informal yet provide a competent courteous service. Usually the majority of the rooms in a one star hotel would be en-suite although some rooms would not have any toilet or shower facilities. There would usually be an area for breakfast and evening meals.

A two star hotel would require all the room to be en-suite, there would be a either a dining room or restaurant providing breakfast and evening meals. The next star rating would be a three star, this is middle of the road for hotels, and staff would be expected to be smartly dressed with a professional manner, all of the rooms would be en-suite and the restaurant facilities would be available to both paying residents and general public, there is usually a licensed bar in hotels of this nature.

A four star rating would have all the requirements of a three star hotel, along with the restaurant facilities but a designated eating area would be required when lunch is served. The five star accommodation would be luxurious accommodation, with guests being greeted at the hotel entrance, and extra facilities being available to the resident both in their rooms and in the hotel.

People who travel with the motor racing circuit often stay various accommodation with different star ratings. Typical accommodation would be with en-suite facilities in rooms, hair dryers and shampoo and shower gel provided. A good breakfast and evening meal, usually from a buffet is preferred from the restaurant. The bedrooms should also be well equipped with satellite tv as an extra.
